Applications are welcomed from all interested and eligible parties (see Eligibility Criteria [Section D]).

Decisions on Pioneer City's infrastructure will be informed by input from prospective settlers from a variety of fields of expertise. This section allows you to provide your recommendations for key aspects of the city.
Comments may optionally relate to the following areas: facilities; legal and governance structures; law enforcement measures; commercial opportunities; living quarters; cultural or entertainment options; educational system(s) or study options; opportunities for social interaction.
The Candidate Selection Process comprises five stages, each of which must be passed in order for candidates to progress to the next stage.
Stage One involves the completion of an Expression of Interest form (this form), and is open to all eligible and interested parties.
Stage Two requires candidates to complete a more comprehensive Expression of Interest form, which builds on the Stage One form.
Stage Three requires selected candidates to undertake the Pioneer City long-duration space flight physical examination.
Stage Four requires candidates to undertake a week-long process of personal interviews, medical screening, and orientation. Following this, final shortlisted selections will be made and all applicants will be notified of the outcome.
Stage Five requires successful candidates to undergo a training and evaluation period lasting approximately two years.
While persons of any age are able to apply as a prospective candidate for Pioneer City, applicants over the age of 56 are discouraged from applying due to the physical challenges of interplanetary travel. Space travel candidates selected in the past have ranged between the ages of 26 and 46, with the average age being 34.
The Pioneer City physical test includes the following specific requirements: distant and near visual acuity must be correctable to 20/20 in each eye, blood pressure is not to exceed 140/90 measured in a sitting position, and the candidate must have a standing height between 157.5 to 190.5 cm/62 and 75 inches.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field, or at least 3 years of related, progressively responsible, professional experience will be an advantage.
With an exception for cases of minor infringement, applicants with a recent criminal record will not be permitted to migrate.
